I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and after growing up in Queens and Long Island, I’ve spent the past 30 years in sunny South Florida. From a young age, I knew I wanted to run my own business and do something creative. At 17, I found my start at a local florist in Bayside, Queens, and that “job” became the beginning of a 30-year career in flowers and business ownership. I learned the trade from the ground up, worked as a designer at several New York florists, and later moved to Florida in 1990. After two years working with top florists in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, I opened Exceptional Flowers and Gifts in 1992 with support from my parents.
